Board of Trustees

Allison Scaduto, J.D. – President

Alli Scaduto is the Founder of The OisF.  You can learn about her story as a survivor of abuse and what inspired her to build The OisF Foundation here.  Born and raised in the Manasquan area, Alli still resides at the shore in the beautiful coastal community of Brielle, NJ, with her two young daughters, Amelie & Sawyer.  Alli enjoys traveling and exploring new places by the sea, just as much as she loves a chill local surf day with friends or a summer sunset on the beach with her daughters.  Alli is committed to giving back to the community and paying it forward whenever she can – and works consciously to try to see the good in every situation, and in every one. Alli graduated from Bowdoin College in Maine, and with honors from Seton Hall School of Law. While growing The OisF is her passion, Alli is a actually full-time practicing M&A and franchise attorney – counseling clients from all over the world at Marks & Klein, LLP, in Red Bank, NJ.

Amy Dube – Vice President

Amy Dube began working with The OisF in 2020, it was an instant natural fit for both Amy and The OisF. Amy’s entrepreneurial spirt and experience as a small business owner and marketing expert was instrumental in helping The OisF grow to what it is today.  Amy volunteered countless hours to help develop The OisF Rider program.  As a fun-loving wife and mom of two daughters, Elle and Adi, Amy embraces the feel-good vibes and powerful messaging that The OisF delivers and is passionate about The OisF mission and encouraging strength in our girls.   Amy lives on the New Jersey coastline and spends her free time embracing life outdoors with her family catching rays, searching for sea glass, and attending local community events. When she is not heading to the sea or spending time with her family, Amy tends to one of the three businesses that she has built from the ground up.

Samantha Barnes – Secretary

Samantha Barnes is committed to empowering kids' confidence and creating opportunities for learning beyond the classroom.  As a former middle school teacher and founder/CEO of Raddish, a monthly cooking club and curriculum for kids, she is passionate about food and family. Prior to founding Raddish, Samantha owned and operated Kitchen Kid, a mobile cooking school, summer camp, and after school program. Samantha grew up near the beach in Eastern Long Island and has found solace and joy in the waves and sand ever since. She is the mom to two ocean loving kids, and resides near the Pacific, in the South Bay of Los Angeles.  She earned her BA from Bowdoin College in Maine where she studied government and education, and as a female founder, Samantha is committed to running a results-oriented and flexible company built on autonomy, working smart, and work/life integration.

Kara Murphy – Treasurer

Kara Murphy was born and raised at the Jersey Shore – with the ocean always being an integral part of Kara’s life. After a 9-year stint in Atlanta, the beach and ocean living called her and her family back to New Jersey.  Kara currently resides in Brielle, NJ with her husband, Mike, and is blessed with 4 children - Keegan, Kiernan, Lilly and Benji. Kara’s passion for philanthropy and her experience with advocacy and awareness efforts developed early on as her oldest son, Keegan, was born autistic. Through Kara’s efforts to support her son, she has worked with a number of charitable organizations (including A Walk On Water) and experienced the benefits of surf therapy first-hand.  Keegan, who is also blind and nonverbal, has been in surf therapy through AWOW and Hammer Surf School for almost two years. Kara believes the power of the ocean should be seen as a gift, an emotional cure for something that is out of our control.  While in the ocean, even if only momentarily, Kara’s son feels on top of the world!  Keegan’s surf therapy sessions set the tone for the rest of his day, and allow him to feel the joy and excitement of being a kid.  Kara is committed to helping survivors feel this way as well – and working to provide opportunities for them to experience the healing powers and strength that the sea offers her son. Kara is a graduate of Villanova University and has over 16 years of professional experience in finance. When Kara isn’t running her children to different sporting events, she loves to travel, play tennis, and spend time with good friends.

Sharlynn Thomas-Pierce was appointed to the Board of Trustees in March of 2023.  Sharlynn was attracted to The OisF because she believes in the Foundations’ vision to foster strength and kindness in girls, and to support women and children who have suffered from domestic abuse.  Born and raised in New York City, Sharlynn has resided in Union Township, NJ since 1999 with her husband, Jim, and their children. She has been a very active member of her community, participating in PTA, Boy Scouts, Roadrunners AAU Basketball, and Little League as a team mom.  Currently, Sharlynn is a mentor volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Essex, Hudson, and Union Counties.
